As a child / Come bambino (16-31.10.2020)Acquasanta terme, AP
EN | IT It’s seven in the morning and I'm already awake. I open my eyes, as I hear the typical clinking sound of a cup: my father is drinking coffee in the kitchen. I know he'll be out in ten minutes. I slip silently out of bed, go to the toilet, get dressed, skip breakfast. I wait for him at the door. He smiles as he hands me the rubber boots. We leave on time, heading towards the fields to look for some stones. Flint artefacts from prehistoric times. It’s an ordinary Sunday in the 1970s. Many years later I find myself walking along footpaths and mountains. Eyes cast down to follow the traced path of the ancient mule tracks of Acquasanta Terme. And then wandering far and wide, up and down. At the end of the day I observe some stone fragments collected along the way. Small memories that become treasures.
